THE PET EXTRAORDINARIUM RECOGNISED
AS THE UK'S BEST PET SUPPLIER

We are delighted to announce that The Pet Extraordinarium has been recognised as the UK’s best pet retailer in the 2008 GLEE Awards. We were the only pet supplier to pick up a Highly Commended accolade at the annual gala event, which covers the entire leisure, pet, home and garden industries.

GLEE gives deserved recognition to genuine innovation, and we were nominated for the Retailer of the Year award for:
> our refreshing approach to sourcing unique and stylish products
> our support of small British manufacturers
> our excellent personal service
> our well-designed and user-friendly website, and
> our support of pet care issues.

The nomination comes hot on the heels of the re-launch of www.thepetextraordinarium.co.uk and the introduction of our new reward scheme, PetXtra. "To have been Highly Commended in such a prestigious awards ceremony is a great achievement, especially given the competition”, said Paul Sutton, director of The Pet Extraordinarium. “Talking to other companies at GLEE, it was obvious that we’re one of only a handful to have achieved significant growth over the last six months against what is a gloomy economic background. To be recognised by our peers for the way we approach our customers, our suppliers and our business is a great honour.”

The Highly Commended accolade in the Retailer of the Year category of the GLEE Awards follows national recognition from The Guardian newspaper in December 2007, which listed us as one of the UK’s top independent retailers. Our extensive range of high quality and design-led products has seen us grow rapidly in popularity over the last six months, and we now attract over 12,000 cat, dog and rabbit lovers every month.
